Recruitment of Graduates for Grade I (a) in Class 3 of Sri Lanka Teachers’ Service to fill Sinhala, Tamil, and English Medium Vacancies in Schools of the Western Provincial Council – 2023

Applications are called from eligible graduates permanently residing in the Western Province and who fulfill qualifications
according to this notification to be recruited to Grade I (a) in Class 3 of Sri Lanka Teachers’ Service complying with Sri Lanka
Teachers’ Service Minute of the Public Service of Western Province for the vacancies in Sri Lanka Teachers’ Service existing
in the schools of the Western Provincial Council.

01. Recruitments will be made for Sinhala, Tamil, and English mediums on a provincial basis and a number of recruitments
will be decided based on the existing provisions and the service requirement. Recruitments for the vacancies up to
30.06.2023 will be made on the order of the total proficiency level of applicants from among the applicants who obtained
the highest marks in the competitive examination and the practical examination.

02. Salary Scale:-
The monthly salary scale applicable for this post will be Rs.31,490 – 6×445– 7×525– 2×600–39,035/- as per the salary
category of GE-01-2016-a in terms of Public Administration Circular No. 03/2016 (iv). You will be placed in the
14th step, i.e., at Rs.37,835/- of this Salary Scale.
